Our Journey
Over a decade of growth, quality, and commitment to our clients.
Paul Bailey Construction Ltd Founded
After decades of hands-on construction experience, Paul Bailey established Paul Bailey Construction Ltd in Basildon, Essex. Built on a foundation of quality craftsmanship and honest, transparent service.
First Major Extension Projects
Completed our first large-scale double storey extensions across South Essex. Word-of-mouth referrals began driving consistent growth as satisfied homeowners recommended us to friends and neighbours.
First Unit, Office & Yard
Moved into our first dedicated unit, office, and yard — a major milestone that gave us a permanent base to operate from and signalled the growing scale of the business.
New Website Launched
Our new website went live, giving homeowners across Essex a comprehensive online resource to explore our services, view our portfolio, and request free quotes — marking a significant step forward in how we connect with clients.
Team Growth & Office Move
Moved to bigger unit / offices at Unit 11, Newlands End Basildon. Expanded the team with dedicated project managers, estimators, and a full admin support team to handle growing demand.
Landscaping & Wetroom Divisions Launched
Added Paul Bailey Landscaping and Disabled Wetrooms to our portfolio — extending our full-service offering to cover outdoor living spaces and accessible bathroom installations.
Expanded Into Specialist Divisions
Launched dedicated services for Essex garage conversions — each with their own specialist website to better serve homeowners searching for specific services.
Team Growth & Office Move
Moved to our current premises at Unit 16, Ilford Trading Estate, Basildon. Expanded the team with a dedicated project coordinator, estimators, and another full admin support team to handle growing demand. We also began using marketing strategies and social media to promote our business.
10 Year Anniversary — 500+ Projects Completed
Celebrated a decade in business with over 500 completed projects across Essex. Achieved 5-star ratings on the Federation of Master Builders, Checkatrade, and TrustMark platforms.
Unit Expansion
Took on an additional unit — Unit 15 next door — to accommodate the growing team, increased materials storage, and expanding operations across Essex.
Design & Build Service Launched
Introduced our complete Design & Build service — handling everything from architectural drawings and planning applications through to construction and handover, all under one roof.
Specialist Divisions
Launched dedicated services for Loft Conversions Essex and Essex Kitchen Fitters — each with their own specialist website to better serve homeowners searching for specific services.
Team Growth — New Estimating & Coordination Roles
Took on two new employees for estimating and admin, along with a dedicated project coordinator to help keep up with growing demand. This investment in our office team ensures faster turnaround on quotations, smoother project scheduling, and even better communication with our clients across Essex.
Essex's Most Trusted Building Contractors
With over 45 years of combined leadership experience, over 50 dedicated professionals, and six specialist divisions, Paul Bailey Construction Ltd continues to set the standard for quality building services across Essex.
A Message From Our Founder
“When I started Paul Bailey Construction in 2011, I had one simple goal: to build homes that I'd be proud to live in myself. Over 45 years in this industry has taught me that quality isn't just about materials and methods — it's about the people you work with, the relationships you build, and the trust you earn. Every project we take on, from a simple garage conversion to a full house renovation, gets the same level of care, attention, and professionalism. That's our promise, and it always will be.”
— Paul Bailey, Managing Director & Founder
